MVJ was founded in 2009 in Maureen's basement, driven by her passion for creating unique wearable jewelry for women. She aimed to design rare pieces for women who seek exquisitely, timeless, statement jewelry with an edge. Crafted from top-tier materials, each piece is a testament to enduring quality, ensuring longevity that can be passed on to future generations. In 2018, she expanded her creative horizons by launching Atelier MAUKE V, a label offering handcrafted, custom-made showpieces such as metal corsets and wigs. These pieces draw inspiration from ancient African, Roman, and Viking aesthetics.

In 2024, Maureen launched her first MVJ gender neutral collection, featuring bold, high-quality pieces designed for everyday wear yet infused with edgy nuances. This new collection continues her mission to create distinctive and alluring designs for those who desire jewelry with a unique flair.

Maureen's creations have graced red carpets, appeared in international magazines, and been featured in museums. Her work has been showcased in music videos featuring Halle Bailey, known for "The Little Mermaid" as well in commercials and episode 7 of the Marvel Studios TV series "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law."
